Spring Development Program
Spring Off Ice Sign Ups
For 10U-14U Co-Ed and 10U-19U Lady Falcons: Our off-ice component is new this year and is a first come first serve model. Each week, you will be able to sign up for the off-ice programming. There are two sessions for each age group, per evening, and there are limited spots. Each session will have a 30 player maximum so there is not space for an entire age group to participate each week. Again, the off-ice program requires separate sign up for each week and has limited availability. Due to other sports and spring commitments, we wanted to make this off-ice optional for your player and allow you to register as it meets your schedule. We will track these registrations and if you sign up for a session and do not attend it, we will then be required to refuse your sign-up for future off-ice sessions. With limited spots available, please be mindful of others. Off-ice sessions are:
- Co-Ed - U10 - 2014/2015: TUESDAYS from 6:00pm & 6:45pm - Sign Ups >
- Co-Ed - U12 - 2012/2013: THURSDAYS from 6:00pm & 6:45pm - Sign Ups >
- Co-Ed - U14 - 2010/2011: MONDAYS from 7:00pm & 7:45pm - Sign Ups >
- All U10-U16 Lady Falcons: WEDNESDAYS from 6:00pm & 6:45pm - Sign Ups >
Again, the off-ice program requires separate sign up for each week, has limited availability and will be on a first come basis. It will NOT populate on your Crossbar Team Calendar like your weekly ice schedule.
The off-ice program will begin the week of April 1st.

Boys Program and All-Girls Program
- Program Length: 8 weeks
- Program Details: 1 weekend session; focusing on individual skating, edgework, puck & shooting skills, along with team hockey concepts. Games will be included in these sessions to help supplement player development.

The Chesterfield Hockey Association, the St Louis Knights Hockey Club, and the Maryville University Hockey Program will be offering an 8-week intense & fun spring development program; with both Co-Ed Program and All-Girls Program options available at each age group. This program is designed for every level of player—from AAA to the Recreational player.
This skills focused, individual development program, that is designed to prepare your player to play at the next level - with games to help foster the development process and provide a fun learning environment.
This program is open to the U6 - U18 age levels (U19 for girls). Details will differ depending on the specific age group and program. Use the following links to jump to the details of a specific age group

U10-U19 Age Group Details
U10 & Older Evaluation Schedule (Birth Years 2015 & Older)
Starts March 3rd for Co-Ed and March 14th for Lady Falcons
Players will go through an evaluation process at the beginning of the session; and will be placed on a skill appropriate team best level suited for their individual development. This is an individual skill development program so teams are only designated for ice time assignments and to group players of similar abilities.

Birth Years 2015 & Older
Co-Ed Program and All-Girls Program
On ice instruction is provided by Maryville University Hockey Men’s and Woman’s Coaches; as well as Chesterfield Hockey & St. Louis Knights Central States coaches and Chesterfield Hockey Lady Falcons AA coaches. Additionally skills coaches Scott Brandes, Cole Bohnett, Caleb Cooper and Adam Natzke will assist & support with on-ice development. Current Maryville University players from both the Men's & Women's teams will also be on the ice working with players.
There is a mix of forwards and defensive coaches for each level to ensure individualized instruction for all players; including goalie coaches and weekly goalie specific training.
This program is a hybrid model with both on-ice and off-ice components.
The Details
The following details in the bulleted list below are the same for both the Co-Ed Program and All-Girls Program. The unique differences between the 2 programs are then further called out in the blue and red colored boxes just below this information.
- Program Length: 8 weeks
- Program Details:
- Co-Ed Practice: 1 eighty minute week day session focusing on individual skating, edge work, puck & shooting skills, and team hockey concepts.
- Lady Falcons Practice: 1 sixty minute week day session focusing on individual skating, edge work, puck & shooting skills, and team hockey concepts.
- Co-Ed & Lady Falcons Games: 1 sixty minute weekend in-house game to help supplement their development.
- Co-Ed U10-U14 & Lady Falcons U10-U19 Off Ice Training: Limited Weekly Sign Up Capacity. More info will be communicated just before the start of the program. Sessions will focus on speed, power and hockey specific training with Chesterfield Hockey strength & conditioning coach Jake Hanebrink. (Optional participation; however highly encouraged). U15-U18 Co-Ed will not have off-ice training available for Spring Development.
- Goalie Specific Training: Available to all U10 and older goalies
- Practice Jersey: Included
- Optional Tournament: 10U and older teams may play in an optional tournament. Dates and locations TBD. The optional tournament cost / fees would be extra and are not factored into the cost of the Spring Development program fees listed below.

If you are brand new to hockey, please explore our Learn to Skate & Learn to Play programs! The Spring Development program requires prior hockey experience. If you have any doubt or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

There isn't a separate Spring program. This is a shared Spring program between all of the clubs listed above. Evaluations will determine team skill level placement for Spring.

Yes. This is the method we use to place your child on the appropriate skill level team. Unless told otherwise, all players and goalies (U10 and older) are expected to attend all assigned evaluations.
